Heo Nam Jun said “Hello” at our Instagram account. Always curious, I made contact with him and found out that he was a team member of the ID LINE at Daegu University in South Korea. Together with his fellow students Lee Jae Mo and Kwon Se Hwa they had to design and create the look of a contemporary electric motorcycle, which was not an easy task.
They had to concentrate on the design, not the technical features such as the battery and motor. Designing, modelling, making the original clay shapes, 3D-printing and painting. These were the tasks of the 3 students.
Interesting briefing, read along:The look of the motorcycle should be designed so that you can feel the flow and tension in a floating, undulating line. The drive method will move through the motor on the wheel.
Just to be clear: this is not a Honda prototype. This name was the choice of the students.
The students were allowed to start from a fuel motorcycle framework in order to shape their creation. If you are interested, you can follow the production process, step-by-step, in this 15-minute video film.
And of course these pictures below give you a good overview.
