Phil Bevan Trackdays, the company that organised the race event, said that no other rider was involved.

The company stated: "It is with an extremely heavy heart that we must inform you that due to an incident... one of our riders has passed away.

"In the final Intermediate session of the day she fell from her R1 at Brooklands Hairpin, and suffered serious head injuries.

"We, as the Phil Bevan Trackdays team, wish to pass on our sincere condolences to both the immediate family and friends at such a tragic time.

"We would also like to thank the medical team at Pembrey Circuit and University Hospital of Wales."

The crash happened a mere three days after she had been part of a group of bikers who visited the nearby Welsh Air Ambulance station to present a donation of just under £11,500.

Motorbike event organiser No Limits Trackdays extended its "sincere deepest heartfelt condolences".

"Laura leaves behind three young children who must be absolutely inconsolable and distraught to have to go through something like this," the company said in a statement.

"In a twist of fate, Laura, who was a avid rider, was also well known as an active supporter of that exact local air ambulance."

A fundraising page has been created with the aim of supporting her children and has already raised almost £9,000.

The motorcycle community will also take part in a ride-out in Laura's memory in Haverfordwest on Wednesday evening.
