The SURU Scrambler is an all-electric bike, that combines the casual ease of a bicycle with automotive levels of refinement. Called “disruptive” and “the Honda Cub of the 21st century” by the press, it does not require insurance or licensing, and can travel up to 50kms on a charge without the need to pedal. Thanks to it’s unique aluminum monocoque construction, it is three times stronger than conventional bicycles with motorcycle-grade reliability.

These factors make SURU ideal for rough-road and high frequency rental environments, and was what attracted Sensus to chose SURU for Nepal and daily use in the Himalayan landscape.

The SURU Scrambler lists for $2700 USD, while the entry-level bike-sharing optimized S19 model starts at $2200. Both are available for pre-order via the company website. Combined with other orders and expressions of interest, SURU will be expanding operations in Canada and the United States throughout the rest of this year.
